The Woolmark Company

The IWS (International Wool Secretariat) is the body founded in 1937 by sheep farmers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Uruguay (80% of world wool production) to promote the use of pure wool. It holds the rights to the Woolmark quality label. [1] In 1997 it changes its name to The Woolmark Company; the entity was acquired by Australian Wool Innovation Limited (AWI).
